What is the application process?
You send us your application exclusively via our applicant portal. We will first review your documents in the HR department and get back to you as soon as possible. If everything fits, we will invite you to a personal interview. There you will get to know our team and your possible training area. You will then receive feedback from us promptly.
Is there an application deadline?
No, there is no fixed deadline. As long as the training position is advertised online, it is still available and you can apply.
What should you do if you cannot make the appointment?
If you’re unable to attend your appointment, just let us know in advance by phone or email. We’ll arrange a new date together.
What documents do I need to submit?
To apply for an apprenticeship at HF GROUP, you should submit a cover letter, your resume, and your most recent school report card. If you already have internship experience, you can also include proof of this. The documents should be clearly laid out and preferably submitted as PDF files or scans.
What should the cover letter contain?

How long does a job interview last?
Please plan for your interview to last approximately 45 minutes.
Are there any trainee events or joint activities?
Our Mix&Meet series offers regular insights into different areas of the company and promotes cross-departmental exchange. At the trainee meeting, which takes place approximately every eight weeks, our trainees have the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss current topics. The programme is supplemented by a joint training trip every three years and an introductory day to facilitate the start of working life and support initial networking within the team.
How much do trainees receive per month?
Apprentice pay follows the collective agreements of the Metal and Electrical Industry in North Rhine-Westphalia. You can view the current IG Metall pay table here.
How many vacation days do trainees get per calendar year?
As an trainee, you get 30 days of annual leave - plenty of time to relax and recharge.
How long do trainees work per day/week?
Your apprenticeship runs for 7 hours a day (35 hours per week), combining practical experience in the workplace with study at vocational college.
What are the chances of being hired after completing the training programme?
The chances are very good - most of our trainees are offered a permanent position afterwards.
