The availability of machines and systems, their longevity and procedurally process control are key cost factors in the mixing room. Accurate measurement of the material temperature at every point in the mixing cycle is crucial for precise process control. Due to the harsh environmental conditions in the internal mixer, temperature sensor tips must be robustly constructed, which, however, leads to deviations between the measured and the real temperature, especially with large temperature gradients. The HF Mixing Group has therefore developed a temperature sensor with improved response behavior that can also accurately determine critical temperature limits.
