Grand opening of the new HF administration building: New building is an offer to employees and customers

(Freudenberg). The ribbon on the new company portal was cut with golden scissors accompanied by beaming faces wherever you looked. The opening of the new HF MIXING GROUP administration building was a great success.

The new administration building planned and built in Freudenberg is a milestone in terms of comfort and architecture far beyond the Siegerland region. The elegant black building with its high proportion of glass shows the company's intention to offer employees and applicants a genuine “New Work” experience. The new modern environment not only supports improved internal, but also external collaboration with customers, suppliers and partners.

The building symbolizes modern, agile and interdisciplinary work. This is reflected in the entire complex with its large open office spaces and central communication islands. And this can also be felt in the company restaurant, where even the bread is freshly baked in addition to three main courses a day. It can be noticed in the barista bar or in the company's own fitness studio, which offers courses for all employees. 

Peter Scholz, Vice President responsible for Global Sales & Marketing at HF Mixing Group, which can look back on more than 160 years of history in mechanical engineering for tire manufacturers, the rubber goods industry and special applications, points out the future of the company in his welcome speech:

“The new building is a sign that we have great expectations and potential for this location.” 

In the opening he refers to the saying from Heraclitus: “panta rhei” - everything flows, nothing stands still.) “Panta rhei” determines life. We are at a turning point in many areas. This also applies - positively charged - to working, as it is currently reinventing itself completely. And this change to a new way of thinking about work can be felt immediately in the new building. The project was successfully realized with the architects “w:architekten”.

Almost 4,000 additional square meters for agile working

The overall project consists of a new building with around 4,000 m², the renovation of the existing building on an area of ​​2,000 m² and the construction of a new parking garage with 80 parking spaces. One of the two managing directors, Ian Wilson, also emphasizes in his speech the noticeable "change" associated with the project. His fellow managing director Dr. Holger Rudzio underlines the same: "Even if contemporary history makes business more difficult, we are 100 percent convinced that we will successfully master the crises of the global economy with new processes, new ideas and a new ergonomic way of working. We are giving the work processes greater flexibility and agility." Work will change thanks to agile project management and flat hierarchies. Employees from different departments will work cross-sectoral in flexible working groups. This wasn't possible in the past because the company on Asdorfer Strasse had grown too quickly.

HF has locations in Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Great Britain and the USA: The company is the global market leader in the construction of high-performance mixing machines for the rubber processing industry and in the development of complete mixing room systems including its own automation products. The company has 1,200 employees, around 400 of them work in Freudenberg. HF is part of the PossehI holding company which brings together more than 200 (technical) companies with 13,000 employees.
