For more than 150 years, the companies of the HF MIXING GROUP have been developing the best technologies for the rubber processing industry. Our competence is part of a long tradition. Now we would like to bring our competence to life for you - regardless of whether you are already using our machines or are just about to make a purchase decision. Just as car manufacturers give you the opportunity to take a test drive, we invite you to test our machines under real conditions. For this purpose, we have set up the most modern Technical Center in the industry for you at our Freudenberg site: a fully equipped mixing room with a laboratory area, two complete interlocking and tangential production lines as well as state-of-the-art weighing technology and a laboratory rolling mill.
Optimal results through the best possible preparation
Applications are becoming more and more complex, thereby raising the importance of testing. We are facing up to this development. The HF MIXING GROUP Technical Center offers you the opportunity to carry out tests on a production and laboratory scale as well as simulations.
Our experts are available on site to help you plan your tests in detail. Before you test your mixtures on the production line, you can test them in the laboratory area of the Technical Center using smaller quantities of material.

Sophisticated solutions for efficient test conditions
We know the processes and requirements of the rubber processing industry. They served as the basis for the design of the Technical Center. This is how we created realistic production and optimum test conditions.
The programming of the processes - from weighing the individual raw materials to mixing in the laboratory facilities - runs fully automatically via the in-house automation system ADVISE® ES. Decoupled weighing technology and a separate room for weighing ensure optimal production conditions.
The building that houses our Technical Center is built without support columns and is energy-efficient. As with our machines, we also focus on sustainability here.
Real production conditions enable reliable results
Once the required quality has been achieved in the laboratory, the processes are implemented on the production facilities. The Technical Center offers all the possibilities of a modern mixing room for this purpose.
Depending on requirements, the production-related tests can be carried out on the tangential or intermeshing mixing line. Our ADVISE® automation system enables reliable and robust results.
The following equipment is available for testing:
BN 20N mixer (tangential rotor system)
IM 45E mixer (intermeshing rotor system)
UMIX 80 TSS mixer (universal mixer with no automated material feeding system)
Batch transport system for free selection of downstream aggregates
ø 550 x 1500 production mixing rolling mill (downstream aggregate)
CONVEX 2 twin-screw extruder (downstream aggregate configured with strip nozzle or underwater pelletising)
Batch-off system for strip or sheet cooling
Process optimization
Joint development or optimization of your processes with our equipment is very important to us. The Technical Center is equipped with its own test laboratory to ensure ongoing monitoring of the tests. From here, our experts accompany the execution of the test series and make suggestions for optimization.
Upon completion of the tests, our staff analyzes the test data and prepares reports for you. As a result, you receive optimal information for your formulations and mixing processes, enabling you to manufacture products more quickly and efficiently in-house. With our Technical Center, we offer you absolute investment security as well as the possibility of feasibility studies and the qualification of your employees.
