HF GROUP acquires majority ownership of WF RECYCLE-TECH to accelerate commercialisation of tyre pyrolysis technology
HF GROUP is pleased to announce it has acquired majority ownership of WF RECYCLE-TECH with its brand FARREL POMINI represented by the US-based site Farrel Corp. (Ansonia, CT, USA) increasing its stake from a minority ownership position established in 2021. This strategic acquisition further strengthens the companies’ collaboration and accelerates the global commercialisation of WF RECYCLE-TECH’s patented tyre pyrolysis technology. WF RECYCLE-TECH, headquartered in the United Kingdom, pioneered a proprietary, patented pyrolysis system for recycling end-of-life tyres. The system utilises the Farrel Continuous Mixer (FCM™), a core technology from FARREL POMINI, to efficiently process end-of-life tyres into valuable outputs such as recovered carbon black and oil, supporting circular economy initiatives and sustainable materials development. By moving to majority ownership, HF GROUP and FARREL POMINI reinforce their commitment to advancing sustainable solutions for the global rubber and plastics industries. The increased ownership position enables global support to grow the technology and accelerate adoption worldwide. “We are delighted to deepen our partnership with WF RECYCLE-TECH and take this important step towards further commercialisation of their proven pyrolysis system”, said Paul Lloyd, Farrel Corporation President. “This acquisition aligns with our long-term strategy to support sustainable solutions that address global challenges.” Jo Dennis, Managing Director of WF RECYCLE-TECH, commented: “We are very pleased to become majority-owned by FARREL POMINI and HF GROUP. Being part of the HF GROUP organisation allows us to leverage a strong global support network, deep technical expertise, and long-term investment commitment. This partnership significantly strengthens our ability to scale our pyrolysis system and deliver solutions to customers around the world.” “This acquisition reflects HF GROUP’s strategic focus on enabling technologies that drive sustainable industrial growth”, said Ian Wilson, Co-CEO of HF GROUP. “By combining WF RECYCLE-TECH’s patented pyrolysis process with FARREL POMINI’s technology expertise and HF GROUP’s global infrastructure, we are creating a powerful platform to address the worldwide challenge of end-of-life tyres recycling.” The transaction marks an important milestone for all three brands and underscores their shared vision to advance innovation, sustainable technologies and a circular economy.
